At the age of 14 I was entered in the National Mathematics Olympiad.
But despite all this, it didn't take too long "out in the real world" before
I found myself in the situation so many people are in: Trapped on an endless
merry-go-round... chained to the same wheel of "go to work, get paid, pay
the rent, pay the bills, go back to work again"... and it felt like there
was no end in sight.
I quickly decided, like so many others - probably like you, too - that I
would never be able to stand a life of*working for the man*. I felt like I
was working my tail off just to survive, while I knew deep down that someone
else was the one getting rich - off my efforts.
I knew I was destined for better things - yet felt as though I was paralysed
by the "unavoidable reality" that I had to go and spend my life doing a job
I didn't enjoy... in order to get to the place where I could *even begin* to
make my dreams come true.
